About

DG Peterson, Darlene to friends and family, was born and raised in Vancouver, British Columbia, on the west coast of Canada.

An interest in crime, plus an ability to write shorthand, led DG to a career as a certified court reporter in the County and Supreme Courts of British Columbia. With more than fifteen hundred trials under her belt when she left reporting, and with her son almost old enough to vote, she decided to pursue writing from a serious perspective. Although she had been published in various formats throughout her life, now crime fiction became her focus.

English and creative writing courses, classes, seminars and workshops, together with research into areas of law enforcement and forensics, provided the avenues necessary to move forward.

DG’s other interests include animal welfare, environmental concerns, gardening, cycling, and chocolate.
